The ensembles of the Per Sonorem Vocis foundation, founded by Eize Leertouwer in 1998, bring concerts with mostly renaissance music, combined with gregorian chant in a liturgical programme setting. Occasionally, music from other style periods, e.g. Hildegard von Bingen, early baroque, or even contemporary music, is performed. The foundation now has three ensembles, all of them consisting of a number of experienced, but mostly non-professional singers: one with mixed voices, another with almost only men, and one with only women voices. The first two groups are led by Eize Leertouwer, the women group is led from within by Marsja Mudde, who also sings in the mixed group and occacionally in the men's group. |
